If ever you wanted a reason to hate McDonalds
**** UPDATE: Although their website says something to the contrary, McD's has not added milk to their fries... they just did it as CYA as a result of the new labeling laws... the law that's suppose to make it easier for people with food allergies. This law keeps back-firing on us- ack! ****
If ever you wanted a reason to hate McDonalds, I've got one.
I just called their phone number last week to ask if they had e-mails that they send out when they changed their ingredients. "What a great idea" they said! I asked because after checking their website I found that Marshall can now have their chicken strips (not the nuggets). What an miracle we thought! Marshall can have something besides french fries. I even told McD's how happy I was about the change. The lady was so nice I couldn't believe it. I shouldn't have...
GUESS WHAT! I just got an e-mail... not from McD's, but some random person letting us know that McD's has changed the ingredients for their fries. They now include MILK!!!! WHY! WHY! WHY! did they have to do that!!!!
What's worse... no public announcement, no food allergy alert...NOTHING! I just spoke to them last week and checked the website and even printed out their freakin spreadsheet- THERE WAS NO MILK!!!!!! The lady in the food allergy department who I explained Marshall's milk allergy to could have advised me, but NOOOOoooooo!
Well, our business is going back to Whataburger & Sonic... besides, they've got diet DP there. Losers with stupid red shoes.

Marshall hosted a few of his grandparents at Grandparents Day at school on Friday. He was very excited to have "Two Aw-pa's and one JJ" there. They got to see him play the "shaker", share a snack, make some crafts and attend chapel.

Although it wasn't Marshall, at the end of singing "Jesus Loves Me" during chapel, one little boy yelled out "Yee-haw!". He's apparently ready for Rodeo Day. Next week at school will be full of fun with Valentines Day parties and getting all cowboy'd up for Rodeo Day. All of which I'll miss because I'll be in Chicago AGAIN. Not to mention Trace's birthday that I'll also miss. Bad mom, bad wife... I know... but, as we explain it to Marshall, I've got to "go get the money".

joins the train craze.

the Durham's of San Antonio united for a day of train riding and Kiddie-Park visiting. Kiddie Park which is almost 80 years old was the same park that I use to visit as a kid. It's run down and I don't think they've ever changed the water in the boat ride, but there's no kid out there that doesn't love it.

I've been wanting share and document this for a long time but things that date back to pre-blogging have a hard time making the cut sometimes. But, this has reached new heights and its time has come.
Nightly, almost immediately after dinner, the boys start begging to take a bath. As much fun as they have in the bath, it's not the bath they want....it's what happens after the bath. You see, we have these games we play. The first and the oldest is "1,2". It's the simpliest of them all. We cradle and swing the boys in our arms and on the count of three we launch them into the air and they land on the bed
. Dingo invented that one.

The second is what we call "Buzz Lightyear". We hold the boys in front of us with their legs around our waist and yell "Buzzzzzzzzzz" and we we start to say "Lightyear" they let go and fall back onto the bed
. This was my invention and it opened the gates for a few more.

Superman is Trace's invention and it's one that I rarely do. Trace sits on the edge of the bed facing one of the boys who is standing on the floor. He grabs them at the waist and then lays back so that they fly across the bed into a nose dive
. And everyone yells "Suuuuu-per-man!"
Flip Flop is mine and fairly new. Braden affectionately calls it "clic-cloc". The boys lay down on the bed with their feet at the edge. We grab them by their ankles and pull them up so that they are in a headstand and then let them flop in the other direction
. This one will have to be phased out when the boys get taller as it requires the proper geometric proportions- either that or shorter beds.

Reverse Suplex is Trace's and doesn't require much explanation. I don't particpate in this one due to the required upper body strength but the boys squeal with excitement over it
. And it moves too fast for our digital camera to capture. But regardless, it always ends with full out WWF!
